My apologies to the BarBeerians
It was Super Bowl Sunday of course. But that’s no excuse. On Friday, I received an E-mail from one Steffen Rasile, of The BarBeerians, asking if I could meet him for a pint at the Kettlehouse on Sunday. Well, I explained that the Kettlehouse Brewing Co. did not keep Sunday hours and suggested Bayern Brewing. We agreed on a 1 p.m. meeting time, apparently, and I settled into my weekend with relish and not a few snifters of Brick & Mortar Imperial Porter.
On Sunday, my phone decided to bail out on me, forcing me to input my password so many times I nearly forgot it. It was too late by then, somewhere between the last beer and the alarm clock, I had it stuck in my head that I was going to meet the Barbeerians at 3 p.m. And so it was that at 1 p.m., when I should’ve been enjoying a pint at Bayern, I was up to my elbows in Frank’s Red Hot, trying to prepare my hot wings for the Super Bowl party later that evening.
So, by way of an explanation, you have my apology Steffen. Please do look me up next time you’re in town, and I shall do the same when I get to Helena next.
And, for all of you Grizzly Growler readers who don’t already know who the BarBeerians are, I’d like to introduce you.
This is a craft beer blog and then some. These Helena guys are serious about beer writing, and they travel too. Great resource for beer lovers in Montana and everywhere. And like they say, follow them on Twitter and Facebook.
Prost,
GG
Thanks for the apology Tim, and it is graciously accepted. We understand how stressful weekends can be, especially when there is the big game on. Hope to meet up with you for pint soon here. Give us a call or drop us a line if you are in Helena.

p.s. I had some of that portage porter earlier and it is killer! Hope to have a review up soon.
