Tying one on at Bitterroot Brewing takes on a whole new meaning
This might be one of the more unique taproom activities around the state, but then again, it’s Montana, so maybe not. I first heard of this a few years ago, and I’m really glad to know Bitterroot Brewing has kept up the tradition. I can’t really think of anything more idyllic than sitting around with a pint of good beer and tying flies for a crisp, fall morning on the upper Bitterroot River.
And while you’re there, don’t forget to try the CollaBEERation Baltic Porter or some of their barley wine, which was cellared for a year. Though if you drink too many of those, you may have difficulty seeing your flies. That’s OK, just starting tying some big streamers.
From the brewery:
Wednesday Fly Tying Night Kicks Off
Wednesday night fly tying is back in season! Started by Dennis McIntyre several years ago, this weekly gathering is open to those experienced at fly tying as well as those just developing an interest. Tying typically gets going around 6:00pm. This is a great time….with great people, come on down and learn a few new patterns.
Prost,
GG
