I’m back
But where did you go?
I could lie and say I was stranded in Oregon for a long weekend with no computer access, although it wouldn’t really be a lie.
In a firebolt trip, I drove the family to Salem so they could spend spring break in a place that is green. I mean with family. Then I attempted to fly back to Missoula, missed my flight, had to stay the night in a cheap Seattle hotel where the only beer available was at a 7-11 across the street.
But I’m back now.
And things are just heating up. Here’s what’s new:
Avery’s Mephistopheles Stout may or may not be available at a certain Missoula beverage market with an exceedingly large selection. I’ll let you figure it out in case the Montana Liquor Control Board decides to come check out the beer selection.
The Red Bird restaurant has Big Sky’s Smoove Cherry Ale on tap.
Hmm, let’s see, what else is going on?
Pure Soul Porter should be back on tap at Big Sky soon, in the meantime you can get some Slow Elk Stout.
The 515 has closed, and with it the venerable Flathead Lake Brewing Co. beer and burger for $5.15. FLBC owner Terry Leonard told me you can get his fantastic Roy’s Imperial IPA on tap at the Rhino.
Rumor has it Lang Creek Brewing Co. is offering a line of imperial beers. I’m not sure if the one’s listed on the brewery’s website are in fact that line, but they areĀ Zeppelin Imperial Ale and Stealth Imperial Stout. As for one who likes to collect big beers and lay them down, I hope they bottle these bad boys. Keep your eyes peeled.
Need to get out of town?
Check out the Spring Beer and Wine Festival in Portland, Oregon.
All right, that’s your weekly update, and I promise to have more lively posts coming soon, including some great new video tours. I’m also working on developing Growler Radio, a podcast that will keep you informed and entertained about everything microbrew.
Prost,
GG
Pure Soul is back as of today.
