The Burning Dog
Funny things heard at Burning Dog 2007:
“OK, I’m going in,” hot blond in a puffy Northface jacket and Mountain Hardwear hat.
“I don’t even know what a wingman does,” said girl walking with hot blond in North Face Jacket and Mountain Hardwear hat.
The sight of hundreds of people bundled up in puffy coats and beanies pulled low over the eyes was quite funny for my wife and I.
In Oregon it’s REI rain jackets and and beer hoodies.
The Burning Dog Festival at Big Sky brewery seemed to go off well. The exuberant crowd got stoked at the sight of snowmobiles hitting huge powder and gnarly cliff drops at the movie premier.
We stayed long enough to watch the dog burn, which really upset my daughter, especially when people screamed: “burn doggy burn.”
A couple of Powder Hounds kept the evening toasty, though I suppose my new puffy coat didn’t hurt.
So pray for snow and support Missoula Avalanche.
